Indie developer Bad Ridge Games and publisher V Publishing have made an official announcement regarding their upcoming fantasy RPG, Mirthwood, set to launch on PC soon.
Mirthwood promises to deliver an enchanting medieval life simulation, drawing inspiration from the renowned farming simulation game, Stardew Valley, as well as from the action-RPG series, Fable. This game intends to provide the calming and satisfying experience of farming combined with the excitement of battle, role-playing, and the opportunity to explore a vast and dynamic open-world
It was recently announced that Mirthwood would be available for PC via Steam in 2024. Get a sneak peek at the exciting features of Mirthwood in a new trailer from V Publishing’s official Youtube channel:
In Mirthwood, players will be tasked with managing their very own homestead, where they will have complete control over the cultivation of a diverse range of fields, orchards, and livestock. Additionally, players will have the opportunity to establish meaningful relationships with various townsfolk and non-playable characters (NPCs) through the game’s innovative Sims-style interaction system.
As players take on quests, and explore the open world, they will encounter a diverse range of enemies, including Bandits and werewolves, and engage in real-time combat. To ensure survival, players must equip themselves with a collection of weapons, armor, and clothing, while also leveling up and specializing their character in their chosen combat class.
Mirthwood is set in a richly detailed, dynamic world for exploration. From serene farmlands to dark, mysterious forests, each environment is unique and filled with secrets to discover. With its beautiful hand-drawn graphics, immersive sound effects, and an original musical score, the game creates an engrossing medieval fantasy experience.
Currently, the release date for Mirthwood remains uncertain but more details are expected to be disclosed very soon. For now, you may add it to your Steam wishlist now to be alerted when it becomes available.
