There are fewer and fewer idle games, but occasionally inspiration strikes a developer and we get something uniquely special. Melvor Idle is a title that draws inspiration from Runescape but is reduced to its individual parts, with its second major expansion Atlas of Discovery releasing on September 7.
Melvor Idle features a range of idle mechanics that will allow players to passively accrue resources, go on adventures, and engage in a classic RPG adventure with innovative mechanics. Unlike the game it takes inspiration from, this title from Games by Malcs promises a more casual experience that is continuing to expand after its release two years ago, shown in the trailer below.
There are a range of new features and content added to the game as part of this major expansion. Atlas of Discovery brings new skills, game modes, and a range of other content. All of the new additions to Melvor Idle in the Atlas of Discovery expansion include:
- Cartography and Archaeology skills
- Ancient Relics game mode
- Over 600 new items
- 46 new monsters
- Eight new Combat Areas
- Three new Slayer Areas
