Following its final public playtest, Fulqrum Publishing has announced that the release of Men of War II has been delayed to 2024. This much-awaited real-time strategy game was originally scheduled for September 20, 2023.
Developed by Ukraine-based company Best Way, Men of War II is a sequel to the acclaimed 2009 Men of War. This sequel promises to introduce all-new units, locations, campaigns, and game modes, combined with the series’ trademark historical accuracy and action-filled gameplay on the Eastern and Western Fronts of WWII.
Throughout the past few months, Men of War 2 ran three open beta phases, allowing developers to gather valuable feedback from participants. After carefully analyzing the feedback, developers have made a tough decision to postpone the release of Men of War II to next year.
Fulqrum Publishing confirmed that Men of War II‘s content and features are now complete, boasting three narratives and two historical campaigns, Conquest and Raid dynamic campaigns, each playable in four variations of competing nations, 15 PvP and 8 PvE multiplayer modes with over 20 maps and more. However, with such an extensive array of content and features the game has in store, the dev team would need additional time to fix bugs and address other issues before releasing the game.
“We loved working with our dedicated community of fans during multiple Playtests and we gathered immense amounts of data and feedback. In fact, we received so many great suggestions we decided to implement, that the original schedule did not allow us to iron out all the bugs and issues in time for the September release. We feel that our fans deserve to receive a game in a completely polished and bug-free state and ask them for just a little more patience to allow us to deliver such a high-quality product.”

While the exact release date for Men of War 2 remains uncertain, Fulqrum has assured fans that regular updates on the game’s development will be provided through their social media channel.
