Meteora is an upcoming single-player arcade combat racer game where you are to control a meteor in a race for survival against a chaotic universe. Meteora launches on PC via Steam on July 14, 2022.
The official teaser trailer for Meteora showcases the classic elements of the game, impressive graphics, and some of the objectives and missions of the game.
Meteora is inspired by classic space movies and science documentaries. The game is set in an ever-moving universe only a few billion years into its creation. In Meteora, players will play as a meteor, trying to survive the constant action of a volatile and chaotic universe.
You may need to destroy a planet, brave a Gargantua, or save the sun as you journey across the universe. Natural outer-space events inspire the gameplay for Meteora in the form of a combat racing game.
The key features of Meteora include:
- Dodging. As you aren’t alone in the universe, your death is imminent. You must look out for objects, and any other markers coming your way and be sure to dodge them.
- Chasing and annihilation. Chase down and annihilate objects before other meteors take you out.
- Create your own meteor shower to destroy your opponents in a fiery barrage.
- Customize your meteor shower formations to maximize damage and increase your chances of survival.
- Unlock, upgrade, and combine power-ups and abilities to conquer the journey across the universe. You will need to strategize your power-ups and combine them in real-time.
- 60+ levels to play. Some are chaotic, and some are the calm before the storm. Players can experience a fraction of the universe at each level. Test your skills and instincts in more challenging modes and unlock hidden boss battles.
