Publisher Dotemu is bringing back the classic Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes in a new Definitive Edition.
Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes features a unique blend of puzzle, strategy, and RPG. It was originally developed by Capybara Games and published by Ubisoft back in 2009. Today, Dotemu announced to launch Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes – Definitive Edition this Summer for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes is set 40 years before the Heroes of Might & Magic V saga. It follows the story of five heroes separated over five different regions of Ashan. Each must take their own perilous path in order to gain strength, uncover a demonic plot, and ultimately save their world from destruction.
In Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes, players must strategically plan their every move and combine attacks to defeat enemies in matching puzzle-inspired battle scenarios. In addition, players will level up their heroes and creatures in order to unleash devastating attacks on their opponents.
Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes – Definitive Edition comes with upgraded features such as a story-rich campaign, improved gameplay mechanics, and a Multiplayer mode for both online and offline gaming. A free DLC that lets players take on the role of one of the 4 villains in any game mode, along with a new Multiplayer Boss is also included in this edition. Several quality-of-life improvements, refreshed character portraits, and an expanded, completely overhauled, and re-balanced online mode were also made for the Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes – Definitive Edition.
Throughout its reception, the original Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes received generally favorable reviews. It was lauded for its unique take on the RPG genre, notably the refreshing gameplay mechanic it features, which some believed had not been replicated until now. Given that it is returning in a Definitive Edition, fans may expect that previous issues as well as other drawbacks in the original game have been rectified and refined in this version, resulting in an improved but otherwise same gameplay experience.
