Minecraft Legends, the 2023 real-time action-strategy game developed by Mojang Studios and Blackbird Interactive and published by Xbox Game Studios, is set to receive an update that will allow friends to join the same team in PVP matchmaking. The spin-off of the 2011 sandbox game Minecraft was released on April 18, 2023, for various platforms including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
In a recent tweet, the official Minecraft Legends Twitter account announced, “An update is in the works to allow friends to join the same team before finding other players in PVP matchmaking. We plan to have this update in your hands soon.” They also encouraged players to continue sharing feedback, emphasizing the value of community input.
While the game’s launch has been largely successful, the developers have acknowledged issues with the Arabic localization. In a statement on the Minecraft website, they expressed their commitment to inclusivity, stating, “Earlier this month, we were very excited to announce that Minecraft Legends would offer an Arabic translation. This is something we care deeply about, as we believe that Minecraft is truly for everyone.”
However, the developers have received feedback regarding the inaccuracies in the Arabic localization, which has rendered the translation unusable and forced players to use English instead. They apologized to the Arab players, admitting, “Obviously, we’ve messed up, and we are deeply sorry.” The team is actively working on rectifying the issue and promises to deliver a fixed translation as soon as possible.
Minecraft Legends is a unique blend of action and strategy, featuring mechanics inspired by action games and exploring gameplay from a third-person perspective. The game offers both cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes, ensuring a diverse and engaging experience for players.
