The action role-playing game MARVEL Future Revolution, developed by Netmarble, has announced the termination of its services. The game, which was released on iOS and Android on August 25, 2021, will cease operations on August 25, 2023, marking exactly two years of service.
Taking inspiration from the Secret Wars series, the game’s storyline unfolded on the Primary Earth, a patchwork world comprising alternate Earths, enabling interaction with various versions of iconic Marvel characters. However, as of October 27, 2022, a reduction in the scale of service was announced, hinting at the game’s imminent conclusion.
The MARVEL Future Revolution team shared their decision to terminate the game’s services in a heartfelt announcement. They expressed gratitude towards the game’s players for their steadfast support and dedication.
Following the announcement, in-game purchases were deactivated on June 2nd. The team also detailed a comprehensive shutdown schedule segmented by regions.
The termination of services schedule is as follows:
- For the Asia/Southeast Asia region, services will conclude at 11:00 UTC+9 on August 25, 2023. The ability to make purchases within the game will be deactivated from 12:00 UTC+9 on June 2, 2023, and the official community will be closed at 11:00 UTC+9 on August 25, 2023.
- For Europe, services will cease at 03:00 UTC+1 on August 25, 2023. The in-game purchase function will be disabled from 04:00 UTC+1 on June 2, 2023, and the official community will be inaccessible from 03:00 UTC+1 on August 25, 2023.
- For America East, services will end at 21:00 UTC-5 on August 24, 2023. In-game purchases will be deactivated from 22:00 UTC-5 on June 1, 2023, and the official community will close its doors at 21:00 UTC-5 on August 24, 2023.
- For America West, the game will be shut down at 24:00 UTC-8 on August 24, 2023. The ability to make in-game purchases will be terminated from 19:00 UTC-8 on June 1, 2023, and the official community will be inaccessible from 18:00 UTC-8 on August 24, 2023.
It should be noted that Daylight Saving Time will not affect these schedules, and players are advised to save any necessary data before the closure of the official community.
