The latest installment of the Utawarerumono series, Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten, takes players on an engaging journey with young fighter Oshtor. Living a quiet life with his mother and younger sister, Oshtor’s world is turned upside down when he meets a mysterious girl named Shunya, who claims his deceased father is still alive. As more questions arise, Oshtor embarks on a quest to discover the truth about his father and the enigmatic Shunya.
Key features of the game include a deep and engaging narrative, a combination of 2D anime-style illustrations and detailed 3D models, classic turn-based RPG gameplay, and modern quality of life features. Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Utawarerumono series with a captivating story, produced by legendary composer Naoya Shimokawa and written by Munemitsu Suga.
Set in the small province of Ennakamuy, Oshtor’s adventure takes him through the land of Arva Shulan, a country that doesn’t appear on the map. As he faces trials, perils, and makes new friends, the young man’s journey will lead him to a legendary status.
Oshtor is accompanied by various characters, including Shunya, the mysterious girl who informs him about his father; Munechika, the daughter of Murasame who assists Oshtor on his mission; and Mikazuchi, a strong and brash young man who becomes both a good friend and rival to Oshtor.
Fans of the Utawarerumono series can look forward to the exciting new installment, Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten, coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 in the West this fall.
