Monster Digital Event for Sunbreak Summary
You can expect a chilly reception when facing this returning Elder Dragon, Lord of the Tundra Velkhana. Able to manipulate water particles in the air around it to snap-freeze its prey, as well as manifest lethal pillars and shards of ice to shatter its opponent’s body and will. While this hunt may seem familiar, Velkhana has learned some new tricks.
You’ll be able to enter Velkhana’s frozen domain from MR 10
With the arrival of Velkhana, new armor and weapons will be available for you.
Another Elder Dragon has overcome the affliction. You will witness the meteoric rise of Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax! This Elder Dragon is unrelenting to hunt and will give you no time to breathe, whether you play close or long-range characters.
Like other Risen Elder Dragons, you can expect new moves and much more. You’ll be able to take on Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax in its realm of despair from MR 160!
Give your Hunter a meteoric glow!
For those who defeat Valstrax, you can craft a new set for your hunter!
The Anomaly Investigation
Like previous Free Title Updates, the maximum level of Sunbreak’s endgame, Anomaly Investigations, has increased again, reaching a new cap of 220!
With the new cap comes A8★ Anomaly Research quests and a spicy new twist to the existing formula. In addition to Afflicted Chaotic Gore Magala, Risen Elder Dragons will also start appearing in Anomaly Investigations at Level 111 and above. So, you may see Risen Elders such as Risen Kushala, Risen Teostra, and Risen Chameleos, who are more challenging than before.
New Challenges, New Rewards
If you kill the empowered Risen Elders, you will gain new crafting materials to unlock the level cap for Qurious Crafting on your weapons. This allows you to further empower your weapons by increasing the number of Anomaly Slots at your disposal!
Bahari has also increased his stock at the Anomaly Research Lab, so you can get even more items and monster parts to spend your Investigation Coins on!
There will also be new quality-of-life additions coming to the Anomaly Research system. Before, you had to hunt the specified monster to progress toward the Investigation Coin bonus.
After the QoL changes, Afflicted monsters above the stated level will count toward the request counter, but you’ll receive a juicy bonus if you hunt the requested monster. The conditions will also be adjusted to draw a lower quest level floor for the request regularly.
Eventful Event Quests!
Even more quests will roll out weekly from Free Title Update 4! Dual Threat quests will be returning, and they’ve brought a Seething Bazelguese x Chaotic Gore Magala combo and Furious Rajang and Scorned Magnamalo!
The team has some exciting rewards for you to earn, with multiple sets of layered armor and individual layered gear pieces. These rewards and many others will be available throughout Free Title Update 4!
