Developer and publisher Dead Drop Studios has recently released a new trailer for Outbreak: Shades of Horror, the next installment in the Outbreak series.
Outbreak: Shades of Horror is an upcoming co-op survival horror game, featuring an early 2000s-inspired, undead apocalyptic nightmare experience. Dead Drop Studios began their Kickstarter campaign for Outbreak: Shades of Horror in September 2022 and was fully funded after eight days. Outbreak: Shades of Horror is set to launch soon on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
In Outbreak Shades of Horror, players will choose from a diverse cast of characters, each with their own unique abilities, traits, and storylines, as they experience the opening hours of a viral undead outbreak in the city of Cypress Ridge in September 1999. In co-op, players may team up with up to three friends online or via local split-screen to escape the undead apocalypse. Selecting the appropriate team members will be crucial since various characters will have access to different game areas.
In a new trailer, Outbreak: Shades of Horror showcases its amazing photorealistic, neon-lit environment built with Unreal Engine 5. Some glimpses at the enemies, including undead enemies wearing Among Us suits, were also revealed along with some gameplay mechanics.
So far, Outbreak: Shadow of Horror seems to be a promising multiplayer horror game. Its graphics are far superior to those of previous installments in the series. Some improvements could be made to the character’s movement and appearance, but the video has only presented the pre-alpha version of the game, so any issues should be addressed prior to the final release.
A demo of Outbreak: Shades of Horror is available on Steam for anyone who wants to test out some of the game’s features. Physical and digital pre-orders of Outbreak: Shades of Horror are now available on the Outbreak website.
