The indie game studio based in Toulouse, France, Rundisc, and publisher Focus Entertainment has just announced the official release date for their upcoming narrative exploration puzzle game, Chants of Sennaar.
In April 2022, during PAX East, Chants of Sennaar was introduced for the very first time. Recently, Focus Entertainment has finally set a specific release date for Chants of Sennaar, which is scheduled to be available on September 5th for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The biblical myth of the Tower of Babel served as the inspiration for the narrative of Chants of Sennaar. The story of Chants of Sennaar focuses on the Peoples of the Tower, who have been divided since the dawn of time and no longer communicate with one another. Nonetheless, legends have claimed that a Traveler will one day arrive and discover the wisdom to break down the walls and restore the Balance.
Chants of Sennaar features intriguing gameplay centered around the concept of reconnection. Players will take on the role of the Traveler who embarks on a journey of discovering an enchanting and mysterious universe where men have long forgotten their history.
As players attempt to restore the connections between the Peoples of the Tower, they will navigate the endless steps of a vast labyrinth, uncover an ominous truth and unveil the mysteries of this fascinating universe where ancient languages are both the lock and the key. In addition, players will need to use stealth and cunning to outwit the Guardians of the labyrinth and cross the forbidden zone. Players must also observe the environment and solve puzzles to unravel the mysteries behind the fragments of the past.
