Flame Keeper is a dynamic action rogue-lite game developed by Kautki Cave and published by Untold Tales. The player’s life serves as their cash in this particular game. As the player takes on the role of Ignis, a unique little piece of burning coal, they will be tasked with reigniting the fire of the Eternal Flame, despite knowing that doing so may cause their life to deplete. Flame Keeper is set to launch on PC via Steam and consoles in early 2023.

As they fight their way through a world filled with evil and dangerous creatures in Flame Keeper, players will need to strike the right balance between making progress and avoiding death. In order for them to advance, they are required to not only learn from their mistakes but also change their strategies, talents, and abilities.

Hordes of enemies will be faced by players, and they will have access to a broad range of moves and attacks to use against them. These include punch combos, fiery dashes, stomps with a wide area of effect, and devastating finishers that deal decisive damage. In Flame Keeper, each of the game’s biomes is home to a distinct set of enemies and challenges that gradually increase in difficulty.

In order to advance in Flame Keeper, players must upgrade their little coal through skills and passive abilities. Players may also mix and match skills in a single run to create a multitude of builds. To restore the Eternal Flame, players must explore each area for any remaining energy and return it to the Fire Camp of each level. In addition, there is a Vulpis Village at the beginning of each level, where players may rest, improve their skills, and rebuild and upgrade structures using the materials they have collected.

In the latter half of January 2023, Flame Keeper will also launch a closed beta testing phase for interested participants.
