Superpowers have been having a huge moment for the last decade, launching movie franchises and evolving the concept of a hero. Now, a new ARPG called Superfuse will give players the ability to create their super-powered heroes as they defend what remains of humanity. As players venture across space to defeat the Corruption, they’ll be able to customize their character’s powers and loadout.
While the game’s release date hasn’t been announced yet, Superfuse has posted about the game coming sometime later in 2022.
Customize Your Powers and Gear
Players will be able to choose between five different character classes, and then they’ll be able to “fuse multiple superpowers” to build a unique playstyle. Players will also be able to adjust their powers and abilities after the fact. This means that players can alter their abilities for each new boss fight if they find it challenging.
Weapons and armor will also be located around each map, allowing players to find better gear as they fight Corruption. You can use the loot to make your hero more powerful or sell it to buy better equipment from your chosen vendors. With the many gear and color options, players will have complete control over how their character looks and performs.
A Solo Journey or Fun With Friends
As you work as an Enforcer to fight off the Corruption, you’ll either be alone or part of a squad of up to four people. You and your friends can join together to fight off the hideous monsters and bosses that are based on comic book origins.
The combat will be fast-paced and will see players take on entire hordes of enemies and unique bosses. However, with the addition of procedurally generated levels, players will never know what to expect since they’ll never be able to take the same path twice.
The campaign is a fully-voiced story that spans multiple planets and other bodies in space. Players and their allies will come across futuristic cities, lands devastated by Corruption, and dungeons that offer danger around every corner.
As one of the humans who left a dying Earth for the stars, you’ll be responsible for clearing the Corruption on behalf of the corporate overlord “Gods.” As a member of the super-powered Enforcers, it’s up to you to maintain order and ensure that humanity progresses beyond this threat.
