The latest patch for Marvel Snap introduces significant additions and tweaks, most notably a new game mode and changes to several cards.

The Conquest game mode, the latest addition to the gameplay options, can be found in the “Game Modes” section of the bottom Bar. Upon completion of the Recruit Season Pass, players unlock Conquest mode, which offers games of varying difficulty levels. Playing games earns Medals, which can be traded for exclusive rewards in the Shop.

As part of the general updates, Marvel Snap welcomes Mystery Series 3 to the Token Shop. Players can open Mystery Series 3 cards for 1,000 Tokens to secure an unowned Series 3 card for their collection.

The introduction of Weekend Missions provides players with more opportunities to earn rewards, supplementing the existing Daily and Weekly Missions. Each weekend will feature three missions: winning games to earn credits, using a Season Pass Card to win games and earn gold, and employing a newly released card to win games and accumulate tokens. The reward amounts are variable, hinging on the mission’s difficulty.

Alongside these new features, the patch initiates changes to some cards’ series status. Specifically, Snowguard and Stegron cards will shift from Series 5 to Series 4, while Shanna cards will transition from Series 4 to Series 3.

In this patch, three characters received significant changes:

  1. Galactus:
    • Previous: 6/2 – On Reveal: If this is your only card here, destroy all other locations.
    • Updated: 6/7 – On Reveal: If you’re winning this location and this is your only card here, destroy all other locations.

The purpose behind this update is to focus more on the competitive diversity of the game rather than shifting the gameplay towards strategies that are centered around countering a single card.

  1. Maria Hill:
    • Previous: 2/3 – On Reveal: Add a random 1-Cost card to your hand.
    • Updated: 2/3 – On Reveal: Add a random 1 or 2-Cost card to your hand.

The update to Maria Hill was designed to create a better thematic parallel to Agent Coulson. This change is expected to be a slight buff to Maria Hill, allowing for a potentially better card addition and creating more interesting gameplay dynamics.

  1. Dazzler:
    • Previous: 4/4 – Ongoing: If you have 4 cards at each location, +6 Power.
    • Updated: 3/2 – Ongoing: +2 Power for each location that’s full on your side.

The update to Dazzler is designed to provide more incremental boosts as locations are filled. The change may increase Dazzler’s usage alongside characters like Brood with Silver Surfer or in Patriot with Ultron.
