Stray let many video game fans live out the dream of being a little cat exploring a city with all the poise that the species is known for. With Stray being released nearly a year ago, it came as a surprise when developer Annapurna Interactive announced that the title would be coming to new platforms like Xbox starting Aug. 10
The announcement was made shortly after the beginning of the showcase and it showed everyone’s favorite feline dancing across rooftops. Players can expect more Stray content on Xbox when it releases on Xbox in a couple of months. This follows the title being a PlayStation console exclusive for the last year, with it now coming to Xbox for more players to enjoy.
In the short trailer ahead of the announcement, the feline companion can be seen pawing at an Xbox controller before it falls off a table. This causes a TV across the room to turn on, showing the iconic console start-up screen before a typical trailer for the game using old footage is revealed. No new updates or content was revealed outside of an update to the platforms you can play the game on.
This being a little over a year after the release on PlayStation may not be an accident, as the Sony-developed console may have had an exclusivity agreement until that point.
This is a developing story and more information will be added as it becomes available. Make sure to check back at Try Hard Guides for all the latest information about Stray‘s upcoming platforms.
