The family-friendly Road Trip event is making a comeback on June 10th, 2022, so fans will have another opportunity to try out the latest games and models right out of a traveling Nintendo truck.

Here’s the official announcement from Nintendo’s Twitter feed, explaining that the road trip will last through September 5th:

Due to COVID restrictions, it’s been a while since Nintendo offered this unique fan experience. It’ll travel through nine big cities this year, including Los Angeles and Seattle. Each visit will only last so long, so be sure to review the schedule yourself here.

Fans will have the opportunity to play with the latest OLED Switch model, which has a giant adjustable stand, a 7-inch OLED screen and 64 GB of internal storage. The basic model alone is worth over $300 USD, so this could be a crucial opportunity to see if it’s really worth your investment.

You’ll be able to pre-register for a Warp Pipe Pass, which will secure a position to play the latest games like Mario Strikers: Battle League and Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

The total experience is said to last around 30 to 40 minutes, excluding any waiting around, so that should be your total play time.

Aside from pre-registering, you should also remember to wear the proper footwear. You could be denied access to the event if you show up in flip-flops, because Nintendo Switch Sports is one of the featured games, and that requires “secure footwear” for safety purposes.

You won’t be able to buy anything at the Road Trip, because it’s just for demos and other gameplay. It really is just an interactive event for fans and families to get together, and in-person events have been a major relief for many lately.
