NIS announced to bring Rhapsody: Marl Kingdom Chronicles in the west for Switch, PS5, and PC

Rhapsody II and Rhapsody III are set to be released in North America and Europe for PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.

Rhapsody: Marl Kingdom Chronicles is an RPG series developed by Nippon Ichi Software. The three main games in the series are Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure, Little Princess: The Puppet Princess of Marl Kingdom 2, and Angel’s Present – The Legend of Marl Kingdom. The first two games were published on the PlayStation, while the third was made available on the PlayStation 2. In 2000, Atlus released an English version of Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure.

Back in January 2023, NIS America finally announced the official English localization of Little Princess: The Puppet Princess of Marl Kingdom 2 or Rhapsody II: Ballad of the Little Princess and Angel’s Present – The Legend of Marl Kingdom, otherwise known as Rhapsody III: Memories of Marl Kingdom, as part of Rhapsody: Marl Kingdom Chronicles package to be released in mid-Summer 2023.

Today, NIS America has returned with a new announcement, revealing that Rhapsody: Marl Kingdom Chronicles will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch in North America on August 29 and in Europe on September 1. The announcement was included in the new Rhapsody II Spotlight trailer from NIS America’s official Youtube channel:

Rhapsody II: Ballad of the Little Princess, the charming sequel to Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure, is centered around the journey of the young “Tomboy Princess” Kururu, where players will discover a vibrant tale filled with charm, comedy, and love It features a new turn-based battle system as well as polished, faster-paced gameplay making combat just as engaging as the story.

In Rhapsody III: Memories of Marl Kingdom, players will be immersed in the stories of Cornet, the ruler of the Marl Kingdom, her daughter Kururu, the “Tomboy Princess,” and other lovestruck souls in Marl Kingdom, all of which span the past, present, and future of the Rhapsody series. It is the much anticipated and well-received conclusion to the Rhapsody series, and it offers an improved and polished turn-based fighting system that shines with combined character attacks and the inclusion of a 3D camera.
