OmegaBot is a tight action side-scroller with challenging robotic bosses developed and published by Simon Carny. In this game, players must avoid metal hazards, obtain powerful weapons, and blast their way through a ruined world filled with lethal robots, where running out of energy means defeat. OmegaBot will be released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, or PlayStation 5 on January 20th, 2023

Players will step into a pixelated world as OmegaBot and navigate various settings such as metallic forests, the ruins of futuristic cities, and more. They have to make use of their weapons and their skills in order to get past the dangerous barriers and traps. OmegaBot boasts its diverse landscapes, such as metallic woodlands and the remains of a future metropolis, combat that is both fast-paced and strategic, hard bosses whose weapons and abilities may be looted, and colorful pixel art graphics.

Here are the basic gameplay mechanics and features of OmegaBot, as published on their Steam page:

  • Avoid dangers and deadly obstacles by using your weapons and abilities.
  • Traverse through metallic forests, destroyed futuristic cities, and more.
  • Go out of your way and find hidden secrets and maybe even new friends that will help you vanish the curse of the land.
  • Defeat great warriors of the fallen land, who sacrificed themselves to be consumed by the corruption.
  • Use strategic thinking and fast reflexes to slay these machines, but be careful, once your energy depletes you’ll become prey.
  • Fight for their weapons and powers so they can be freed from their suffering.
