Omori is a dark adventure through trauma and learning how to cope with it over time, recently arriving on Xbox and the Game Pass subscription. However, after the title was removed from Game Pass on June 30th, it now seems that Omori is no longer available on the Xbox or Microsoft stores.
This was seemingly first noticed by a YouTuber on Twitter stating that the game wasn’t on Xbox or the PC store anymore. Because the Xbox version had unique content specific to the platform, players who don’t already own it can’t access the content on PC unless Omori gets re-added at some point. It’s a considerable amount of content specific to Xbox as it adds a wide variety of new stories or boss fights.
The list of all the content included in the Xbox edition is unknown, but some claim it adds a Hero boss after Pluto, a playable Basil in the Boss Rush mode, two new fights in that mode, and an event in Black Space 2. While it doesn’t change anything in the game’s story, it gives players more insight into the world and provides some extra fights before the game’s conclusion.
Some fans have expressed disappointment that so much new content was only brought to the Xbox version, however, many opted to play the game when it was on Game Pass. Now that it has been removed from both services, this extra content is completely inaccessible. Many fans seem to be hoping that it gets added back at some point, but it’s unclear when that would be.
The content is still available on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation, but neither option had an option like the Xbox store that would allow players on PC to access the content as well.
