Developer and publisher Novarama has officially announced the upcoming release of the action RPG, Killsquad, for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 later this month. Killsquad combines the intensity of a twin-stick shooter with hack-and-slash gameplay, all set in a sci-fi universe where bounty hunter teams known as ‘Killsquads’ raid planets in search of resources.

Originally introduced to PC players through early access in July 2019, Killsquad received mostly positive reviews, with particular praise for its smooth controls, stunning graphics, and diverse abilities of its characters, which added a fascinating layer of complexity to the gameplay. During E3 2019, Killsquad received an Unreal Award nomination for Most Engaging Game from Epic Games. Finally, PlayStation fans will be able to experience the action offered by Killsquad when it launches for PS4 and PS5 on July 20th.

Killsquad is designed to offer an engaging four-player online co-op play, although it can also be enjoyed in single-player mode. In this game, players will fight their way through over 30 contracts in the Campaign Map, visiting five planets along the way. With five distinct hero classes to choose from, players can customize their character by selecting skills, weapons, gears, and talismans, and engage in thrilling combat against waves of relentless enemies and formidable bosses.

Killsquad emphasizes fast-paced and skill-oriented control on the keyboard or gamepad, allowing players to shoot fast, dodge fast, or die even faster. Each contract typically lasts between 10 to 20 minutes, providing an adrenaline-pumping experience. Throughout their adventures, players will be able to acquire powerful upgrades for their skills, which are activated during contracts. Surviving encounters reward players with bounties that can be used for purchasing new equipment, including weapons, power-ups, and gear, or even cosmetic items to show off to friends.

For those eagerly anticipating the launch of Killsquad on PlayStation consoles, the game can now be added to the wishlist on the PlayStation store, ensuring that fans will be notified as soon as it becomes available.
