Park Beyond, an upcoming theme park builder from developer Limbic Entertainment and publisher Bandai Namco, has just released a brand-new trailer showcasing some romantic attractions. This included the Candyville theme, Match Maker ride and some playful narration.

Park Beyond does not have a confirmed release date yet, but it’s due sometime this year. It will be available on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. You can watch today’s full love-themed trailer on Bandai Namco’s official YouTube channel here:

Park Beyond is one of many games celebrating Valentine’s Day this year with a romance-themed trailer. However, with its theme park setting, it’s certainly the most bombastic. Grand gestures are meant to be the key selling point of Park Beyond, which distinguishes itself from other park builders by letting players abandon physics.

There are so many park building and management games, some of which control massive IP like Jurassic World. It’s probably crucial for Park Beyond to bank on holidays like today to show curious players more of its themed content. After all, absolute freedom seems to be the core mechanic.

The trailer includes a heart-shaped ride that warps expectations in some pretty interesting ways. There are also clearly plenty of decorations, and adding more layers of detail can make virtual parks feel more immersive. All of the Candyville content happens to be a good fit for Valentine’s Day, even if it may not be dedicated to the holiday. That should give players an idea of how content will be flexible.

Park Beyond released a management trailer last month, which instead focused on how the gameplay mechanics will work. Hopefully, the devs will give curious fans of the genre a release window sometime soon. It could prove difficult to retain interest for so long, with simple content trailers as seen today. And the game does have potential.
