A prominent Persona dataminer has recently suggested that a remake of the beloved game, Persona 3, is likely to be announced in the near future. The source has also pointed out that “P5T,” a domain registered recently by Atlus, the company behind the Persona series, is not associated with a fighting game or an Akechi game.
The leaker shared the information in a series of tweets, saying: “Look, all I know is P3 remake will be announced soon and P5T isn’t a fighting game and not an Akechi game.” Whether both games would be announced simultaneously, the leaker responded with uncertainty: “Will they be announced together? Dunno, lol.”
In another tweet, the leaker claimed that Atlus’s strategy of releasing games on all platforms is indeed genuine. If the provided information turns out to be accurate, there’s a chance that the announcement will take place during the upcoming Xbox Showcase scheduled for June 11th or at the Summer Game Fest slated for June 8th.
There has been considerable speculation surrounding the registration of the “P5T” domain. The inclusion of “T” in the domain name has led some to suggest that it could denote Persona 5 Tactics. Given the increasing popularity of tactics games such as Fire Emblem and the already established fan-base of Persona 5, a similar game showcasing the Persona 5 cast could potentially draw a significant audience.
The Persona 3 Remake has had possible leaks in the past, with gameplay having had hit the internet, but has since been deleted. At this point, it is starting to seem like a foregone conclusion that the game will be announced very soon.
