Hovgaard Games’ business simulation sandbox game, Startup Company, is set to receive the physical treatment for the Nintendo Switch console, thanks to an exciting partnership with online retailer Play-Asia. Earlier this year, Startup Company Console Edition launched digitally for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Series X|S.
As announced by Play-Asia, the physical version of Startup Company for Nintendo Switch is scheduled for an August 31st release date. Play-Asia’s online store will be accepting pre-orders tomorrow, August 3 at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET / 4 PM in the UK / 5 PM in Europe.
Play-Asia will offer a Standard and Limited Edition of the Startup Company Nintendo Switch physical version. With only 2,000 copies available, the Limited edition will contain exciting bonuses, including an 11-page manual of Startup Company, an original soundtrack CD, an acrylic standee set, a minicase keychain (holds Switch Game), an art card Collection, individually numbered certificate, and a Windowed Collector’s Box.
Startup Company immerses players into the role of a CEO of a small startup, setting out on a journey to grow and expand their company. The game challenges players to grow the company from scratch by navigating various challenges and opportunities. Running a successful website is at the heart of the game, and players must skillfully develop and enhance its features while also managing hosting capacity and implementing effective marketing campaigns.
Players must also set up and customize their offices, selecting the most suitable items to ensure a conducive and enjoyable workspace for their growing team. It will be crucial to keep employees happy as they play a vital part in the company’s success. As the company grows, players will have to continue recruiting more people. Over time, employees will start demanding more and it is the CEO’s job to keep them satisfied before competitors send them a job offer they can’t reject.
