Legend of Keepers: Career of a Dungeon Manager, the roguelite and dungeon manager from developer and publisher Goblinz Studio, is officially launching on May 23rd, 2023. The game is available now on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox.

The new mobile port will be released on iOS and Android, and pre-orders are available now. Here’s the big announcement from indie game publisher Playdigious’ official Twitter feed:

Legend of Keepers: Career of a Dungeon Manager launched a couple of years ago to some pretty strong reviews. It has a somewhat casual tone, as well as a playful sense of humor, which the premise itself reinforces.

The teaser accompanying today’s release date announcement emphasizes the amusing role reversal in Legend of Keepers, but the mechanics should all feel pretty familiar. It seems more like a breezy love letter, and many fans agree that it succeeds in that regard.

While that may not be enough for some players, there was some very clear effort here. The music, art design, and lore are effective throwbacks that also fit the action-packed pacing.

Legend of Keepers’ official Steam page mentions that some of its influences include the HeroQuest board game and Monty Python, and there is a spirit of quirkiness. Overall, this game is probably more accessible than some of the more traditional entries in this genre.

As a result, this game will probably play very well on mobile devices. Its mechanics are straightforward and friendly, and the gameplay should be fairly manageable compared to more unforgiving roguelites. The graphics aren’t a concern, and Legend of Keepers seems very much like one of those games that would be fun to sneak a run in on the go.
