Pokémon fans were thrilled to learn that the franchise’s official YouTube channel will finally give another update on the upcoming Scarlet and Violet games on August 3rd, 6 AM pacific time.
According to the official announcement, the Scarlet news will come from another episode of “Pokémon Presents”, meaning that other Pokémon games and apps could get updates too:
The latest Pokémon Presents video that released on February 27th, 2022, in order to celebrate the initial release of Pokémon Green version back in 1996. The video lasted about 14 minutes, and featured a variety of titles in the franchise.
In order to get an idea of what to expect from the upcoming “Presents”, the last titles the channel discussed included Pokémon Go, Pokémon Masters EX, Pokémon Cafe Remix, Pokémon Unite, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and Arceus. It closed with the live action look at Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Sadly, the upcoming video doesn’t include the runtime in its description. For now, fans will have to make do with the latest trailer for Pokémon Scarlet, which lasted 3 full minutes and finally gave some clearer ideas of the gameplay mechanics and art design. It also turned Lechonk into a superstar.

However, more than a few are still interested in some of the adjacent games in the franchise, including a sequel to Detective Pikachu, which probably gained traction after the successful movie adaptation.
Also, Pokémon Go just added Daily Adventure Incenses, and Pokémon Unite recently held its first anniversary celebration. So, there’s plenty more to look forward to than Scarlet secrets.
