The upcoming Pokémon Go Community Day on Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, will focus on Fennekin, the Fox Pokémon. Throughout the event, Fennekin will be more frequently encountered in the wild, and lucky trainers might even spot a Shiny version.

During the event, trainers who evolve Braixen, Fennekin’s evolved form, into Delphox will be rewarded with a Charged Attack, Blast Burn. This powerful move has a power of 110 in both Trainer Battles and Gyms and raids. Additionally, starting at the beginning of the event, Delphox will have the ability to learn the Charged Attack Mystical Fire, which has 60 power and reduces the opponent’s Attack in Trainer Battles.

The May 2023 Community Day will also feature a Special Research story called “Fur and Flames” for trainers who purchase the ticket for US$1.00 or its local currency equivalent. Tickets for the Special Research story will go live soon, and trainers can gift them to Great Friends or higher.

Throughout the event, trainers will benefit from various bonuses, such as 3× Stardust and 2× Candy for catching Pokémon, and a 2× chance for trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL. Lure Modules and Incense activated during the event will last for three hours, and trainers can enjoy a snapshot surprise on Community Day.

Furthermore, trading will require 50% less Stardust and allow one additional Special Trade during the event, up to a maximum of two. These bonuses will be active from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time.

Following Community Day, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time, trainers can participate in unique four-star Raid Battles featuring Braixen. These raids will be accessible through Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes, but Remote Raid Passes cannot be used. After successfully completing a four-star Raid Battle, more Fennekin will appear around the Gym for 30 minutes, with the possibility of encountering a Shiny one.

May Community Day-themed Field Research will offer trainers additional Fennekin encounters, Stardust, Ultra Balls, and more. Finally, event-themed stickers can be obtained by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing them in the in-game shop.
