Pokémon Unite, the hit MOBA from developer TiMi Studio Group, has just released a brand-new trailer for Battle Pass 16 featuring gameplay of Knight Style Scizor, Aristocrat Style: Mr. Mime, and various new player cosmetics.
According to a new tweet from the game’s official feed, players will unlock the new Mr. Mime outfit immediately by investing in the battle pass. But you’ll need to rank up completely to get the Knight Style Scizor.
Battle Pass 16 rolls out on June 12th, 2023. Pokémon Unite is available now on mobile devices with the App Store or Google Play, as well as the Nintendo Switch. Here is today’s new battle pass trailer on the Pokémon Unite YouTube channel:
Scizor is certainly the smart choice for the big prize of the new battle pass. Following their buff, the signature bullet punch has made them more than viable, and the knightly theme is a perfect fit for Scizor’s existing design. The new holowear looks very tidy, detailed, and royal.
It’s nice to see some gameplay footage, so that it’s clearer for players to know what they’d be earning. The Knight Style Scizor definitely has presence, and it may even help camouflage Scizor’s bright red signal a bit on the field.
Mr. Mime’s Aristocrat Style looks fine enough, though it does seem like a big, missed opportunity for the devs to lean into even more of a jester look.
It’s nice to see a better variety in player cosmetics, which are also elaborate and flashy. It’s important to note that today’s trailer showed images “from a product under development”, so there should still be some improvements in store before Battle Pass 16. Meanwhile, Leafeon is still slated to join the game this week according to last month’s official blog.
