Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator, the hit indie simulator from developer niceplay games and publisher tinyBuild, has just revealed that it will finally launch on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in Spring 2023. A concrete release date has not been confirmed yet.

Today’s announcement included an official gameplay trailer for those who haven’t had the chance to play Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator since it launched back in 2021:

The combination of attractive visuals and creativity helped turn Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator into a surprise hit, with a very satisfying gameplay loop that invites lots of freedom.

For any Harry Potter fan who ever loved the idea of taking Potions class, this simulator will be a definite win. There’s a remarkable sense of discovery and wonder in this game. It boasts a soothing soundtrack, and its art design has a hand-drawn texture to it. These creates a proper ambiance, which makes it even easier to let yourself become immersed.

It’ll be terrific to have Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator on the go with the Nintendo Switch, as it’s both calming and intricate, which lends itself to mobile gaming.

It’s also nice to see how many indie titles are coming to PlayStation, since the PS Plus subscription service has sorely needed a wider library since rolling out. Also, all of the indies that have recently been announced for the PlayStation 5 will be opened up to powerful features they might not ordinarily enjoy.

Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator has launched on different platforms so gradually, that it has maintained legs much longer than expected. It is also the most ambitious title from niceplay games, who has mainly focused on tiny mobile and PC games. Hopefully, all of these successful ports signal more to come.
