Project Mugetsu: Soul Reaper Race
As a Soul Reaper, you will have to unlock you Shikai. In the future, you will also have to unlock your Bankai and will be able to become a Vizard.
In order to become a Soul Reaper, the initial step is to approach Kisuke, who can be identified by a flickering blue flame symbol. Upon conversing with Kisuke, you will be informed that the task involves defeating a Hollow. Once you agree to undertake the mission, the Hollows on your screen will be highlighted in red. Proceed to the nearest Hollow, vanquish it and then report back to Kisuke to submit the mission. After completing the quest, you will be granted the status of a Soul Reaper!
To gain access to your Shikai in the game, it is necessary to achieve the 20th level of meditation and have a character level of at least 15. The process of reaching Shikai, Bankai (for Shinigami), or Resurrection (for Arrancar) in the game is heavily dependent on meditation.
To initiate a fight with your Shikai, one must first enter Meditation and locate the “Fight Zanpakuto” option.
Advancing in meditation requires the completion of specific objectives, such as attaining a level 5 Zanpakuto name, fighting your Zanpakuto at level 20 to unlock your Shikai, and engaging in another fight at level 50 to unveil your Bankai.
Soul Reaper Lore
In Bleach, celestial beings known as Soul Reapers aka Shinigami inhabit a realm governed by distinct principles compared to the World of the Living. These entities possess significant spiritual energy and a body made of Reishi, remaining unseen to those lacking spiritual abilities.
When souls with extraordinary spiritual energy develop their physical form, they attain the status of Shinigami. The most skilled individuals often join organizations such as the Gotei 13 or the Onmitsukidō. While the majority of potential Shinigami originate from the Seireitei, a few exceptional cases arise in the Rukongai.
Shinigami earn salaries, similar to human workers, and receive bounties for vanquishing Hollows. Retirement from active duty is possible, although it is an uncommon occurrence.
All Shinigami possess vents on their wrists that release their spiritual pressure or Reiatsu. If these vents become obstructed, the affected Shinigami would be consumed by their own Reiatsu from within. Furthermore, if a Shinigami’s Saketsu and Hakusui points are pierced, their spiritual powers become sealed, and it is highly unlikely that they will ever recover their lost abilities.

Project Mugetsu: Hollow Race
To transform into a Hollow, you must start a conversation with Aizen, who can be identified by a soul icon that blinks red. Aizen will inform you that you need to eliminate a Soul Reaper after you have spoken with them. Upon accepting the mission, you will be able to identify Soul Reapers on your screen, as they will be highlighted in green. Proceed to the nearest Soul Reaper and defeat them. After completing the task, return to Aizen to submit the quest, and you will undergo the transformation into a Hollow.
To evolve from a Hollow all the way to an Arrancar, you’ll need to do a fair amount of grinding. Here are the steps you’ll need to follow:
- As a regular Hollow, collect 625 XP by eating body parts while also reaching level 5 or higher to evolve to Menos.
- Survive as a Menos for 1 hour in a public server or 2 hours on a private server, and be at least level 25 to become an Adjucha. Failure to survive or disconnecting will erase your progress.
- As an Adjucha, collect 1875 XP by eating body parts and reach level 50 or higher to evolve to Vasto Lorde.
- As a Vasto Lorde, collect 2250 XP by eating body parts and succeed in the mask minigame to evolve to Vastocar. Keep in mind that failing the minigame will erase any progress you made in that specific game.
To get your Resurrección, you need to become an Arrancar first. Then, you can either press the “K” key or tap on the meditation button on your screen to see the option “Fight Zanpakuto”. This will transport you to the “Inner World” where you must defeat a boss to unlock your Resurrección.
Hollow Lore
In Bleach, Hollows are souls of deceased humans, also known as Pluses, who either succumb to despair or regret or stay in the living world for an extended period of time. If they are not guided to the Soul Society by a Shinigami via Konsō, they may eventually transform into a Hollow.
While most ghosts move on to the Soul Society peacefully after death, some remain in the living world to fulfill certain goals. However, their limited ability to interact with the living and their fixation on their goals often lead to obsession and dangerous behavior. For instance, they may harm anyone who comes close to a loved one to protect them, which ironically turns the focus of their obsession into their first victim. A Shinigami can prevent this by giving the soul a Soul Burial before it turns into a Hollow.
The process of becoming a Hollow can take months to years, as reflected by the length of the soul’s Chain of Fate, which usually resides in the center of their chest and connects to their bodies. The Chain of Fate slowly deteriorates over time as the soul’s ties to the living world degrade. This process can be accelerated by certain conditions, such as being attacked by a Hollow, experiencing extreme despair, or using certain spiritual powers. When the chain fully corrodes, a hole opens up on the chest where the chain was attached, signifying the loss of their heart and their transformation into a Hollow.
Project Mugetsu: Quincy Race
Quincy isn’t in the game yet, but should be added to the game in a future update.
Quincy Lore
In Bleach, Quincy are a group of beings with the extraordinary ability to detect the presence of Hollows and other Souls. However, their unique power made them a threat to the balance of the worlds, and the Shinigami exterminated most of them over two centuries ago. The Shinigami’s goal was to prevent the Quincy from hunting and destroying all Hollows they encountered, which could lead to the collapse of the worlds. As a result, the Quincy became an endangered species, and only a few survivors remained.
The Quincy’s appearance is quite distinct from the Shinigami’s. While the Shinigami wear black, flowing hakama, the Quincy don white, form-fitting, high-collared tunics that are similar in style to Mandarin Chinese dress and Catholic priests’ cassocks. This gives the Quincy a unique “foreign” or “Western” appearance compared to the Shinigami. The Quincy uniform and artifacts are often decorated with a cross motif, which is not the same shape for all Quincy. For instance, Uryū uses a Celtic cross, while Ryūken uses a pentacle. Additionally, there is a six-pointed cross on the back of Uryū’s Quincy tunic, adding to the distinctive appearance of the Quincy.
Project Mugetsu: Fullbringer Race
Fullbringer isn’t in the game yet, but should be added to the game in a future update.
Fullbringer Lore
In Bleach, Fullbringers are a type of spiritually aware Humans who possess a unique ability called Fullbring. This power enables them to manipulate the souls present in all physical matter by utilizing Hollow Reiryoku. In addition to their distinct abilities, Fullbringers share the common trait of being able to sense the Reiryoku of other spiritual beings, such as Hollows, Shinigami, and fellow Fullbringers.
However, Fullbringers are set apart from other spiritually aware Humans in that each Fullbringer has a parent who survived a Hollow attack before their birth. As a result of this traumatic experience, remnants of the Hollows’ power remained in their mothers’ bodies, which were then passed down to their children upon birth. Consequently, Fullbringers’ powers more closely resemble those of a Hollow than a Shinigami. This distinctive origin story sets Fullbringers apart from other spiritual beings and adds to their intriguing nature.
