    Could you explain the answers “capri” to the clue “punch drunk from a pouch, and “blue” to the clue “…for someone flaky?”

      The theme for the WSJ April 6th 2024 puzzle was “Total Solar Eclipse.”

      “Capri” is referring to the kids fruit punch drink Capri-Sun. The word “sun” is eclipsed by black squares to go with the theme.

      “… for someone flaky?” is paired with the across clue before it “Shampoo brand…”, so combined the answer would be Selsun Blue and the word “sun” is eclipsed by the black square between them. The “flaky” bit is referring to dandruff.
