When an unknown creature attacks the Monad Quantum Research Facility, 30 miles off the coast of California, engulfing it in flames and placing it on complete containment lock-down, a distress call is placed for mutual help to the Garboa Fire Department in San Francisco, CA.
Fire Chief Sturgis answers the phone and dispatches you, Capt. Jacob Thomas, your colleague Shane Costa, and a team to the Monad Facility via helicopter.
Your goal is to save as many people as can from the burning compound and then flee. What begins as a rescue operation swiftly devolves into chaos when you arrive and discover that things are not as they seem.
