Quilts & Cats of Calico is a digital adaptation of the award-winning puzzle board game for 1-4 players developed and published by Monster Couch. In this game, players will create the coziest quilts and meet lovely kittens. Players may also compete against other players in multiplayer gameplay, play solo or dig into the story of a tailor against a giant corporation.
Quilts & Cats of Calico will be available soon on PCs via Steam. The specific release date and additional platforms are still unknown, although the game is expected to be available on Steam next year. In Quilts & Cats of Calico, players will be immersed in a warm, cozy world populated by adorable cats. In this world, the quilt bends under the weight of their paws and loud purring can be heard. Quilts & Cats of Calico offers both single-player and multiplayer game modes. Players may have access to cross-platform multiplayer in which they may play rated matches against random players or invite friends. There will be weekly challenges and player rankings in the online game. The more tranquil solo mode enables players to fight AI with varying levels of difficulty and is the ideal way to polish their abilities in a calm setting.
Quilts & Cats of Calico also features a story mode campaign, in which an extraordinary world inspired by the works of Studio Ghibli awaits. Players will take on the role of a wandering tailor who sews quilts while traveling the war-torn world. In addition to creating quilts, perfecting their skill, and assisting individuals they encounter along the way, they will also face up to a corporation that threatens their guild.
To add to the excitement, cats are active during games in Quilts & Cats of Calico. They are not just interested in quilt designs, but also have their own personalities and actively react to the player’s actions. They will casually examine the board, play and run about, and sometimes fall asleep. During games, players may engage with them, pet them, and shoo them away if they get in the way.
