Patch 2 for Ravenlok has been released, addressing missing achievements and issues restricting playability for some users based on console locales. This update introduces several quality of life improvements, such as a volume slider for Sword SFX and a ‘Hold to Attack’ toggle, while also refining the hitboxes and attack sequences for bosses.
The updated versions are v25 for the Epic Games Store, and v1.0.32.0 for Xbox Series, Xbox One, and Windows PC platforms, both updated on May 17, 2023.
Among the addressed issues is a rare one preventing players from unlocking certain achievements. With Patch 2, these should sync appropriately upon loading the game, as long as the required steps have been completed.
Several bugs have been fixed, including the inability of some players to view text if they loaded a saved game from before the latest patch, instances of players getting stuck in the Mask Mansion, and issues causing the title to enter a partially unresponsive state when trying to load previous save data after starting a new game without entering a name.
A series of new options have been added to the menu. These include various toggles, such as ‘Hold to Dash’, ‘Skip All Dialogues and Cutscenes’, ‘Display Potions and Bombs in HUD’, ‘Camera Depth of Field’, and a new ‘Sword SoundFX Volume’ slider. A message indicating “Localization Coming Soon!” is also displayed when a player’s console locale is set to Polish, Ukrainian, Chinese, Korean, or Japanese.
Improvements have been made to the game’s localization and user interface (UI). These include fixes to overlapping text in various UI menus and adjustments to the formatting for the ‘You Found an Item’ UI.
Changes have been made to the difficulty level with the removal of health scaling for enemies, and gameplay improvements include the ability of all bombs to now damage more than one enemy.
Boss gameplay mechanics have seen a significant overhaul. Adjustments to melee hitboxes have been made to reach the player if they are too close to the boss. Bosses will now avoid repeating the same attack twice in a row, and bosses will no longer use ranged attacks when the player is nearby. Missing back kick attack for Buvador the Bison has been fixed, and ranged attacks are now only allowed if the player is out of melee range.
For Xbox users who have experienced missing achievements, the solution involves updating the Ravenlok game to v1.0.32, launching the game, loading the most advanced save file, and allowing the missing achievements to sync properly.
