Norco Release For Consoles Delayed

NORCO’s release for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 has just been delayed

NORCO is a Southern Gothic point & click narrative adventure developed by Geography of Robots and published by Raw Fury. It is designed with a painterly and cinematic pixel art environment that draws the player into its quotidian sci-fi world of disappearing swamplands, labyrinthine oil refineries, and other landscapes inspired by the titular town of Norco, Louisiana, and other parts of Greater New Orleans.

On March 24, 2022, NORCO was originally made available for download for macOS and Microsoft Windows. Before its formal release, the game won the inaugural Tribeca Games Award at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2021. Ports for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 have also been set for a release on October 20, 2022. However, Raw Fury has revealed that it would not be able to launch NORCO on consoles as originally scheduled owing to a number of unanticipated issues that have arisen.

Following the passing of their mother, the players start their adventure in NORCO with the objective of finding their brother, Blake, who vanished after the tragedy. Players are tasked with pursuing a rogue security robot as it makes its way through the strip malls, refineries, and drainage ditches of suburban New Orleans in the hopes of leading them to their target.

What seems to be a routine search for the brother who went missing rapidly transforms into a mystery that spans many generations. The borders between salvation, memory, technology, and nature blur together to create a truly fascinating and reflective tale that has its roots in Southern literature, pulp fiction, and both classic and modern point-and-click adventure games.

Download NORCO on Steam and explore the world alongside wonderfully described individuals with rich histories, complex beginnings, and complicated motives for doing what they do.
