Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire is a Japanese fantasy light novel series written by Hayaken and illustrated by Nagu. It began serialization online in March 2019 but was later acquired by Hobby Japan. After gaining tremendous popularity, Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire anime will begin broadcasting in January 2023!

Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire follows the story of the hero-king, Inglis, who lived in the Kingdom of Silvare. With a blessing from the Goddess Alistia, Inglis became a divine knight and was able to slay humanity’s enemies and the dark gods and establish the Kingdom.
However, he regretted that he could not wholly master the blade on his deathbed. So, as a last favor to him, Alistia reincarnates Inglis as a woman. Whether that was a joke or a mistake, Inglis doesn’t know. Now, Inglis strives to live a life where she can truly become a sword master.
Reborn as the daughter of a knight family, she is, unfortunately, branded as a disqualified knight. So, she enrolls in the Royal Knight Academy to become the world’s strongest apprentice knight.
As this series is being directed by Naoyuki Kuzutani, known for their work on Bikini Warriors, fans have high expectations for the anime adaption.
