Catgotchi: Virtual Pet was originally made available for Android and iOS along with other titles in Mawges’ retro-style simulation series. In Catgotchi: Virtual Pet, players will raise and take care of cute pixel-art pet cats as they reach the adult stage. Players will strive to be a proper cat parents by ensuring that all of the pet’s needs are fulfilled. Players may raise more than one cat, but be careful not to have favorites as ignoring the pets for too long can make them fall into sadness or even get sick. There are also multiple cat breeds to choose from, including Norwegian Forest cat, Russian Blue, Persian, and more. Every cat has its own set of mini-games that will unlock as players progress.

Catgotchi: Virtual Pet features a gameplay loop that is both peaceful and engaging, with short gaming sessions that are nonetheless fun to play. Its 8-bit graphics and overall simplistic mechanics do an excellent job of capturing the nostalgic vibe of the hit 90s Tamagotchi.

The Wildagotchi: Virtual Pet and the Dogotchi: Virtual Pet are two of Mawges’ other retro-style virtual pet simulation games. As of now, it is unknown whether or not these games will also have a Nintendo Switch version available soon.

You may add Catgotchi: Virtual Pet to your Nintendo Store wishlist now to be notified when it becomes available for Switch.
