Return to Monkey Island, is the long-awaited sequel to Ron Gilbert’s Terrible Toybox’s legendary Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge, will be released in 2022 by Ron Gilbert’s Terrible Toybox in collaboration with Devolver Digital and Lucasfilm Games!
The Monkey Island series is a collection of adventure games. LucasArts, now known as Lucasfilm Games, produced and published the first four games in the series. Telltale Games collaborated with LucasArts to create the fifth installment of the franchise. The games follow Guybrush Threepwood’s misadventures as he tries to become the most infamous pirate in the Caribbean, defeat the evil undead pirate LeChuck’s plans, and win Governor Elaine Marley’s heart. The mysterious Monkey Island and its impenetrable secrets are usually at the center of each game’s plot.
