Roblox AUT 2.8 Balances Update Log & Patch Notes

Roblox A Universal Time has rolled out its 2.8 version, making multiple changes across various facets of the game. Version 2.8 focuses primarily on balancing adjustments, new skins, and general changes aimed at fine-tuning the player experience.

In the ascension mechanics, changes have been made to the way players progress through levels. Starting from Ascension 1 and up to Ascension 10, each ascension will now only raise the level cap by 10, up to a maximum of 200 at Ascension 10. Additionally, every even ascension rank after 10 will now grant a ufragment instead of per ascension. Players should also note that ascensions no longer grant mythic or event crates, offering only 5x skin crate per ascension.

Several new skins have been introduced to the game. Specifically, new Mythic skins for Killer Queen (Hazard), Sol (Nova), and Gold Experience Requiem (RAGE) are now available. A new limited skin for Silver Chariot, named Uriel, has also been introduced. The update also brings changes to the purchase of uP products, with the 3200 uP product now granting 1 ufragment, and the 6400 uP product offering 2 ufragments.

General ability and balance changes have also been made to various characters including Dawn, Umbra, Soul Survivor, and Crazy Diamond. For instance, the character Dawn has experienced changes in total damage, heat requirements, and cooldowns for abilities like Flame Strikes, Breakthrough, and Flames Blessing. Umbra’s Sovereign (H) and Sovereign (E) abilities also underwent adjustments, including a reduction in defense bonus and damage output. In terms of Soul Survivor and Crazy Diamond, both have had specific moves adjusted to deal 15 more damage.

Beyond these gameplay adjustments, a series of fixes and refinements have been applied. These include corrections to projectiles that were not displaying correctly, an adjustment to level data to align with the new level cap, and fixes to several skins’ summon effects. Additionally, bugs related to the Killer Queen’s R move have been addressed.

ABILITY & BALANCE CHANGES:
- DAWN:
  - Flame Strikes (E): Reduced total damage from 51 to 40; move now goes on cooldown if not fully completed
  - Breakthrough (R): Cooldown raised from 10 to 12.5; total damage reduced from 60 to 45
  - Flames Blessing (Y): Heat requirement raised from 25 to 50; cooldown raised from 15 to 20; healing and tick damage reduced
  - Radiance (B): Various changes including increased cooldown and heat requirement; reduced heal factor and meter gain
  - Phoenix (T): No longer costs meter
- UMBRA:
  - Finis Aeternam (R): Removed from player moveset in Sovereign
  - Sovereign (H): Defense bonus reduced; heat requirement raised
  - Sovereign (E): Cooldown and damage adjusted; stun duration reduced
  - Sovereign (R): Now requires 2 bars of meter
  - Foresight (V): Active time and heat requirement adjusted
- SOUL SURVIVOR:
  - G move and R move now deal 15 more damage each
- CRAZY DIAMOND:
  - R Restoration mode now deals 15 more damage
  - V Dash move cooldown reduced by 1 second
OTHER CHANGES:
- Fixed some projectiles not showing
- Fixed level data to align with new level cap
- Fixed several skins’ summon effects
- Fixed issues related to locked to part effects
- Fixed bugs on Killer Queen’s R move
- Mythics now cost 6 ufragments in limited shop
- Events now cost 3 ufragments in limited shop
- Limited crates now cost 20 ufragments in limited shop
