Roblox while being one of the most popular gaming platforms in the world has a fair amount of unfortunate issues with it. One in particular is getting scammed or losing your account. There are a lot of hacks out there and people looking to get your account for Robux or the valuable items on it. These things pop up from time-to-time and some are worse than others. There is one currently going around that is affecting players who join certain games.
Update: 5:45pm July 18th, 2022
This is still an active problem going on in the community. It apparently has happened to a streamer known as, iShowSpeedSUI:
Even if the game is not labeled Crosswoods, there is still a possibility it could be one of these hacked experiences. It is incredibly important not to join any game you are unfamiliar with at the moment.
The original post continues below…
The main game we know of that was causing issues is known as Crosswoods [A.2]. Discord accounts and other social media accounts have been spreading links to this and other games of this type around. If you join into the experience, you will glitch out a bit and then be kicked. You will then find your account terminated.
It appears that when you enter the game, it starts to send derogatory messages from your account which trigger Roblox’s moderation bots into penalizing it. This then leaves you unable to use it.
For the time being, you should not join any game you are not familiar with. This is particularly the case with anything being shared around Twitter, TikTok, Discord, or any other social media platform.
According to KreekCraft in the video below, the game has been removed and the player who created it is hopefully being banned. However, there are other experiences that can do the same thing to your account. As KreekCraft mentions, you shouldn’t even join one of these with an alternative account, because Roblox has possibly been issuing IP bans that will not allow you to login to any account you have on that particular IP.
Players that have been banned will hopefully get their accounts back, but you might have to wait a bit for Roblox to sort things out and get this removed from the platform.
bruh crosswoods bad game
does anyone know how many people have been banned in this incident?
approx 10k users.
Hello Shaun,
Me and my friend have found the script that was used to terminate these accounts and have been analyzing through it. This script is really easy to make if you know the language used for Roblox. We can discuss about it in an email or on Discord perhaps.
Thank you,
The W
Thanks for the info, but I’m not looking to dive too much deeper into it. I just wanted to make sure people knew not to join these games.
