Doodle World, the Pokemon-like game that has been gaining popularity on Roblox, has just released a new update on April 23rd, 2022 that brings the new Crystal Caverns area! This is a pretty large patch, which also brings a bunch of skins, prestige skins, and modernizes some older sprites. Along with bug fixes, there’s 8 new Doodles to collect, 3 new equipment pieces, scrolls and held items added as well. If you’ve been waiting on some new content, you are in luck because there’s a lot to dig into!

Art stuff
- A lot of new skins. Like, too many to list.
- New Prestige skins: Larvennae, Xenoxious, Moss, Wiglet, Mold, Mourveil, Borbo, Jelluminous, Staligant, Crystik, Wiglet
- A lot of old sprites were remade to be more modern
Bug fixes
- Minor music improvement (music doesn’t start over anymore)
- Fixed glitch with Sandstorm/Acid Rain not causing your Doodles to faint
- Fixed glitch with Kindling/Hypothermia traits preventing the Doodle from inflicting status effects
- Fixed glitch where if your Doodle faints with a scapegoat up it breaks the game
- Fixed Shifting Winds not clearing hazards
- Merciless now procs on Entangling Vines / Yarn Snare
- Heal Jelly / Speed Jelly procs off of sandstorm/acid rain and status damage
Balance changes
- Changed Food type so it hits Spirit type for not very effective damage.
- Reverted Jelly Lover back to 50% chance. We’ll keep a close eye on this.
- Disarm change: now has 40 power (was 50) but now it does double damage if the target has an item.
- Your Doodles now wake up immediately after getting hit while asleep. I’m still experimenting to see what is the best course of action in regards to sleep, cuz right now it’s clearly an unfun strategy.
- Plant types are now immune to spore moves.
- Reaper no longer procs if Spiraryu has 0 HP
- Soulfire changed to 70 Power/100 Accuracy (was 90 power/85 acc)
- Agitate now has 90 acc (was 100)
Content/Features
- 8 new Doodles.
- 3 new equipment pieces
- New Scroll: Gem Blast. A weak Crystal- type move that has a high chance to raise a Doodle’s magical attack. A lot of Doodles can learn this move.
- Kitsen / Vixalor added to the roulette.
- New held item: Starry Glasses. Very easy to obtain this update (chest in Crystal Cave). If you give it to a Doodle, it says how many stars the opposing Doodle has. It’s there if you don’t want to buy the Magnifying Glass. I personally wouldn’t use it because the magnifying glass is quicker.
- Added Crystal Caverns
- Story update: you’re finally dealing with Craig in the Crystal Caverns!
- You can now do the final 2 help center tasks.
- Info about Maelzuri: You’ll have to do a help center request (it’s pretty obvious which one) and after you complete it, you will be able to encounter Maelzuri in the crystal caverns at a 1/1200 rate. Yes, it’s chainable like Glubbie.
- Using the Tally Counter shows the exact chance of misprints/skins/hidden traits, and if you have completed all the tasks for a doodle line. This takes in account everything, including trinkets, boosts, and chaining.
- Roulette tickets are added. If you somehow get your hands on one, you’ll be able to use the roulette for free! However, the thing you get will be tradelocked and skinlocked, so keep that in mind. You should be able to use the roulette ticket even if your country doesn’t allow you to use roulette, but I haven’t tested it.
