The New Map update was released for Roblox Encounters on January 8th, 2022. This patch includes the addition of casual queues, so you can play in a variety of different games outside of ranked, and you can setup private matches with your friends. The new FrostBite map is now available in both modes. There’s console and controller support, which is a welcome addition to this type of fighting game. There’s plenty more that was added, which you can find in the patch notes below!

Encounters New Map Patch Notes
The following details were posted on the official Encounters Discord.
Casual Queues
One of the newest features in todays update is the addition of Casual Queues. This gives players the ability to queue up for a game in these gamemodes; 1v1, 3 Player FFA (1v1v1) and 4 Player FFA (1v1v1v1). You will still have the ability to setup private matches with your friends using the custom game NPC. (This will make finding and joining casual games much faster)
FrostBite Map
We have also added a new map to the game ‘Frostbite’. This map is playable in both casual and competitive!
Console And Controller Support
Encounters now supports Console Play! You will now be able to play on console or use your controller and plug it into your computer and play on PC with your Xbox controller.
Playing With Friends
After a Casual – Custom game has concluded, you will now be put into the same server lobby as the players you just played with. This means you can easily play again with your friends using the custom casual system. No more leaving and rejoining your friends over and over after each game! (This is not supported by Private Servers yet).
Voice Chat
We have added Voice Chat to Encounters, this means you can easily communicate with others around you. (You will have to verify your Roblox account settings in order to enable Voice Chat).
