The open beta version of Roblox has been made accessible on Meta Quest 2 and Quest Pro devices. This development marks a significant milestone in enabling user testing and feedback collection for the platform’s VR experiences.

This version of Roblox is available to users who are at least 13 years old. The process of installing the open beta on a Meta Quest device involves the following steps:

  1. Make sure your Meta Quest device is up to date 19 (Roblox requires v55 or higher of Meta Quest software)
  2. Search for “Roblox” in the Quest Store and install it from there or download it directly from https://www.oculus.com/experiences/quest/5804350719675181/ 240
  3. Start Roblox on your Quest device
  4. Sign in to your existing Roblox account* using the Quick Login 20 option on your computer or phone.

*Note: At this time we do not support account creation or password sign in on Meta Quest devices.

Upon completing the installation and sign-in, users will be equipped to test any VR-enabled Roblox experiences. However, it is important to note that in-app Robux purchasing will not be an option during the open beta phase. Users may purchase items, but acquiring additional Robux through their Meta Quest device will not be possible. Nonetheless, plans are in place to enable Robux purchases on Meta Quest devices in the near future.

The duration of the open beta phase will extend until the public release of Roblox on Meta Quest. Throughout this time, user feedback and interaction are encouraged to enhance the VR gaming experiences.

The open beta version is compatible with Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro devices, reinforcing the range of devices that support the testing phase. This makes the testing process more accessible to a wider range of users, therefore contributing to the development and optimization of Roblox experiences.
