Roblox UNOfficial, a game recently removed due to legal complications, has made a return under the new moniker, LOCOfficial. The game now leans towards the rules and style of Crazy 8s, in a potential move to avoid any future legal issues.

The developer of UNOfficial had previously announced the closure of the game citing legal concerns. In a statement, the developer expressed reluctance to engage in legal conflict with a large corporation and hence, decided to shut down the game. The future of the game was uncertain, and this news came as a surprise given that the game did not feature any copyrighted assets. The game’s assets were either developed by the team or obtained with permission.

Under its new identity as LOCOfficial, the game follows the mechanics of Crazy 8s, allowing players to match cards based on color or symbol, with the goal of being the first to clear their hand.

In LOCOfficial, players can customize rules extensively. They can opt for abilities like swapping hands or chaining cards, or even stick to a standard game of Crazy 8s without any new rules, offering a wide range of gameplay options. Additionally, players have the opportunity to team up with friends for classic matches or team mode games, allowing for strategy development and potentially tilting the odds in favor of their team.

The game is designed to be inclusive and versatile, with compatibility across all platforms, including PC, Mobile, Console, and even VR. This versatility enables players to enjoy the best card game experience Roblox can provide, regardless of their chosen platform. LOCOfficial is available for players to try out, embodying a fresh start for the previously shuttered Roblox UNOfficial.
