Square Enix has finally confirmed the release date for their highly anticipated turn-based RPG, SaGa Emerald Beyond. This was confirmed through their Steam page, which gave a release date of April 25, 2024.
According to the Steam page, we know that there will be 17 worlds to go across when the game releases on April 25, 2024. However, it’s supposed to be a lot more interactive than previous games in the series. Players’ choices and actions weave the tapestry of your narrative. This is done through six diverse protagonists, each with their own motivations and storylines that unfold across five distinct arcs.
You’ll be able to Whether you’re a human protecting a city barrier, a witch regaining her magic in disguise, or a vampire lord reclaiming his throne, each playthrough offers a fresh perspective on the ever-expanding tapestry of Emerald Beyond.
This isn’t just a choose-your-own-adventure, though. Every decision you make and the world you visit ripples through the narrative, leading to a dizzying array of branching paths and potential endings. No two journeys will be the same, ensuring endless replayability for those seeking to unravel every possible outcome.
And the excitement doesn’t stop there. SaGa Emerald Beyond modifies the Timeline Battles system and adds more strategy to its turn-based combat. The familiar Glimmer system returns, allowing characters to spontaneously acquire new abilities, while Formations offer tactical control over party positioning. But the real game-changer comes in the form of United Attacks, where strategically aligning your actions unleashes devastating combo chains that can turn the tide of battle.
Whatever your experience level is with SaGa games, SaGa Emerald Beyond will be a new style of game. It will be similar to the older games, but with these changes to the strategy, the release will see a whole new kind of game.
