Scarlet Nexus fans have more than enough reason to celebrate, as Bandai Namco revealed that the JRPG, released in June 2021, just broke another huge mark by surpassing the 2 million players milestone. Following the announcement, Bandai Namco also revealed the debut of a new Story Demo of the game, currently available for all platforms.

The announcement also featured the debut of a celebratory illustration, featuring the game’s main cast:

According to the team behind the game, in the new demo, players will be able to play through the first part of the game’s storyline. The progress made will also be carried over to the main title. It’s important to point out that the demo will feature some restrictions when compared to the full product, such as limiting the available modes.

In Scarlet Nexus, players can take on the role of both Yuito Sumeragi and Kasane Randall, two psionics, as they explore the game’s futuristic landscape and uncover the mysteries regarding the truth behind both the appearance of the Others and that of the psionics’ extra-sensory powers. With that said, one of the differences of the title lies in the fact that to explore its full story, players need to complete both Yuito and Kasane’s storylines.

The game recently received a new update, featuring the debut of a new difficulty mode, made for those looking to just experience the game’s story. The new update also featured the debut of a set of Tales of Arise-themed items, part of a new crossover between Scarlet Nexus and the newest and highly acclaimed title in the Tales of series.
