Publisher WSS playground has announced that the release date of the sci-fi adventure game, Boyhood’s End, has been delayed to Fall 2023. According to the developers, the original launch date of August 2023 has been rescheduled to further improve the quality of the game. Along with the announcement, a new trailer has been released, highlighting the characters of Boyhood’s End and some of its gameplay features.
Boyhood’s End takes players on an exciting journey through a world ruled by the mechanical overlord, “R. Karellen.” In this world, every aspect of a person’s life, from academic and professional pursuits to romantic interests and daily meals, is dictated by a unique “human score” assigned by R. Karellen.
Boyhood’s End‘s story focuses on Giovanni, the boy with the lowest human score in the universe, and Campanella, a delinquent genius. Giovanni endures daily mistreatment from his peers, both online and offline. Campanella reaches out to Giovanni, and they hop onto a driverless train on the galactic railroad. Together, they embark on an exciting adventure to find the “Crimson Southern Cross”, located at the farthest edge of the universe.
Throughout their journey, the boys will encounter great leaders of the past and pull reckless and destructive “pranks” on them all. Through their encounters with history, twisted mysteries, and various horrors of the world, they will eventually have to confront the end of their childhood.
Boyhood’s End offers players an engaging gameplay experience driven by its rich narrative. The game seamlessly blends challenging puzzles and exploration in a world brought to life through intricate hand-drawn pixel art. Moreover, the game allows players to indulge in beautifully animated conversations between the central characters, complemented by a captivating soundtrack, adding depth and emotion to the overall gaming experience
For those who want to be notified as soon as the game becomes available, Boyhood’s End is available for wishlist on Steam.
