In Earthless, players will take the helm of a generation starship, embarking on a mission to find a new home for humanity. As they navigate the cosmos, they must draw their own path, defend their people, and keep the hope of humanity alive.
One of Earthless‘ key features is its ever-changing and treacherous star system, challenging players to adapt their leadership skills to the shifting environment. Throughout their journey, players will face crucial decisions, learn from mistakes, and explore even further into the vast unknown.
As the Captain, players are tasked with defending their ship against hostile alien lifeforms and cosmic dangers. As they adapt to the situation, players will discover new powerful combinations of cards, consumables, and artifacts each run. Tactical grid-based combat will also be crucial in ensuring that the crew will live to fight another day.
With every new voyage in Earthless, players will be paired with a unique crew of officers who carry out their orders. Players must carefully weigh the distinct personality traits and needs of these officers to inspire them and unlock powerful bonuses. While players have the option to disregard these factors, it is essential to remember that every captain needs a loyal crew.
Earthless offers both solo and cooperative gameplay options, allowing players to team up with a friend to control their ships simultaneously. Co-op mode also introduces a whole new world of strategy, featuring coordinated assaults and access to co-op exclusive cards.
Earthless is coming to Steam Early Access in early 2024. A demo version will also be available during the Steam Next Fest from October 9 to 16.
