Moonana and Serenity Forge’s sci-fi fantasy JRPG, Virgo Versus The Zodiac, is set to make its debut on various gaming consoles later this month. Drawing inspiration from the beloved Mario & Luigi RPG series and the Mother RPG series, the game takes players on an exciting cosmic adventure as an obsessed villain. Originally launched on PC through Steam and GOG in 2019, fans on multiple gaming consoles can finally experience Virgo Versus The Zodiac when it hits PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on August 23, 2023.
In Virgo Versus The Zodiac, players will take on the role of Virgo, the Holy Queen, often called Dreadful Queen by heretics. Embracing her excessively righteous worldview, Virgo embarks on a chaotic journey to bring mayhem to the Zodiac Realms, leaving a trail of stardust on the way.
Set in a galaxy where every action means a reaction, Virgo Versus The Zodiac features traditional turn-based combat with real-time execution of moves such as blocking, countering, and careful timing of attacks. This unique blend favors a balance of offense and defense, rewarding a deliberate mind and swift fingers. Furthermore, predicting the enemies’ moves will be crucial to ensure the success of Virgo’s twisted and unforgiving cosmic quest to bring back the Golden Age, a period of peace, symmetry, and balance.
Every fight in Virgo Versus The Zodiac promises a unique and thrilling challenge tailored to individual players. As they explore through the galaxy, players will also encounter various other characters, places, and items, with every interaction carrying the potential to shape the game’s outcome. The game also includes a ‘Dangerous Route,’ an action-packed shoot’em up minigame, challenging players to fight off the Space Reptiles.
