Space is a dangerous place, inhospitable to most life outside of the few planets able to foster it. In the new narrative-driven action title from UK-based Bonsai Collective, Luna Abyss, players will come in contact with a unique threat that could endanger their lives and those of the entire galaxy. In a new trailer, players can get a look at two main characters, Aylin and Fawkes.

The two main characters work as a duo in Luna Abyss, with Aylin helping guide the player through the game world as they encounter the threat of the Abyss. As the governor of the prison where Fawkes was held captive, she is uniquely situated to help players explore the Abyss. Fawkes is cursed with glowing red eyes, the reason he was sent to prison, and now just wants to get out alive.

Bonsai Collective has put a strong emphasis on Luna Abyss‘s story as one of the core focuses in developing the title. As with similar deep space horror FPS titles, players will explore the highs and lows of a mysterious planet filled with the threats that caused the previous colony’s downfall. More of Luna Abyss is expected to be shown at Gamescom.

Other major gameplay features in Luna Abyss will see players running, jumping, and dodging their way through the different threats on this alien planet. Through the “bullet hell” gameplay, players will take on countless monsters and twisted cosmic horrors meant to keep them on edge.

There’s currently no release date for Luna Abyss, with the title being in active development. However, players who are curious can download and play the demo for a limited time.
