Scorn was released in the fall of last year, taking players on a unique first-person horror adventure through a world of disturbing creatures. Scorn is getting a Deluxe Edition a year later, with the release date listed as Dec. 31, 2023. It’s available for pre-order now on Amazon for around $50 plus tax.
With the release date for the Scorn Deluxe Edition on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 being the last day of the year, it’s very likely that this could be a placeholder while the manufacturer gets an idea of interest. The Deluxe Edition of Scorn is launching around the same time that the PlayStation 5 version of the game is going live sometime this fall. This is no coincidence since the trailer ends with a picture of the Deluxe Edition.
The Deluxe Edition of Scorn comes with a few different items, most of them digital, including:
- Limited-edition Steelbook
- Official digital soundtrack
- A 192-page digital artbook
The only physical memorabilia from the Scorn Deluxe Edition seems to be a Steelbook, which has been in a lot of physical editions for recent games as it’s just a much higher-quality case than the standard plastic. The real value likely comes from the codes for the digital assets included, like the nearly 200-page art book and the haunting soundtrack that will help players revisit the haunting moments of Scorn.
The Digital Deluxe edition of Scorn is expected to release on December 31, 2023, shortly after the game launches for the PlayStation 5.
